Think about your working conditions and habits. If you have to stand for a long time without any muscle activity in your legs, or you have to sit still for a long period (desk job), you should treat your legs with a proper rest and elevation after such a stress. In addition, you should activate your calves and other leg muscles as often as possible by stretching, flexing and extending, or walking around for a few minutes. When at home, elevate your feet.
